Youth Ministry is about leading teens closer to Christ, and that includes in the tough and unexpected moments. This year’s Fall Youth Ministry Workshop will talk about how to deal with traumatic situations in youth ministry. This will include two parts:

• Part 1 will speak about appropriate first aid response and actions within youth ministry settings, such as what you should have on hand, what level of care and intervening needs to happen for different emergencies, how to talk to parents, etc.
• Part 2 will speak about how to navigate unexpected tragedy with teens, such as when a teen has someone close to them die or when a teen in your community passes away and the parish teens need to grieve.

The Fall Youth Ministry Workshop 2025 includes the presentation on Dealing with Trauma in Youth Ministry, dinner, and table discussions on current topics in youth ministry. This workshop is included within the concurrent New Youth Minister Orientation; if you are registered for orientation, you do not need to register for the workshop.
