All new coordinators of youth ministry (paid and volunteer) are invited to our New Youth Minister Orientation! If you are new to running your ministry in the last two years, you are highly encouraged to attend. Training topics will include, but are not limited to:

• Discerning the Best Youth Ministry Programming for Your Parish
• Creating a Youth Ministry Calendar
• Event Coordination: Advertising, Registering, & Attending
• A Brief Overview of Confirmation
• Navigating Tough Pastoral Situations
• Keeping Boundaries & Maintaining Your Own Prayer Life

Plus, you will be paired up with a veteran Youth Minister who will act as a mentor, and you will get face time with some of the other diocesan offices you interact with as a youth minister. We will give you all the guidelines and resources you need to be set up for success! There is no cost to attend this orientation and overnight lodging is provided, as needed.
